Nammo Vihtavuori Oy – a company most reloaders know about but almost no one can pronounce. They have now launched their new rifle powder called N568, with an aim to attract long-range shooters and hunters. The Vihtavuori N568 is said to be insensitive to humidity changes and exceptionally consistent regardless of the temperature, important features for any reloader.
According to Vihtavuori, they have added Nitroglycerine to the traditional single base rifle powder, which increases the energy content. If you’re shooting large capacity cartridges like, for instance, 6.5 PRC, .300 PRC, .338 Lapua Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum or .300 Winchester Magnum, this new invention is designed for you.
Here’s what Vihtavuori has to say about their new powder.
Introducing: the N568, a new high-energy rifle powder!
We are proud to introduce a new heavy weight champion in our N500 rifle powder series: the N568. The slow burning characteristics and short-cut grains of the new high energy gun powder provide extremely consistent metering for long range competitive shooters, accuracy enthusiasts, and hunters alike. Vihtavuori’s N568 excels with heavy-for-caliber projectiles and provides exceptional temperature stability. As with all our reloading powders, it’s also insensitive to humidity changes.
Vihtavuori N568 is the perfect choice for today’s most popular large capacity cartridges, including 6.5 PRC, .300 PRC, .338 Lapua Magnum, and an assortment of classic belted magnums such as 7mm Remington Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum. Reloading data for various calibers and bullets will be coming soon!
The new Vihtavuori N568 will be available around Q2 of 2021, with variations in local and national availability of course.
